Pur­chas­ing & Sup­ply Chain Man­age­ment Education


Estab­lished in 1964, Shore­line Com­mu­nity Col­lege (SCC) offers excel­lent aca­d­e­mic, professional-​technical and work force train­ing pro­grams to meet the life­long learn­ing needs of its com­mu­nity. Ded­i­cated fac­ulty and staff are com­mit­ted to the edu­ca­tional suc­cess of all students.

Col­lege courses at the fresh­man and sopho­more lev­els are offered. These courses have been designed to pre­pare stu­dents for upper-​division work at a four-​year col­lege or uni­ver­sity. The cur­ricu­lum at Shore­line is rig­or­ous and chal­leng­ing. Instruc­tors focus on prepar­ing stu­dents for the high cal­iber of study at the four-​year universities.

SCC’s Pro­fes­sional – Tech­ni­cal and Work­force Train­ing pro­grams are designed to pre­pare stu­dents for gain­ful employ­ment upon com­plet­ing a course of study at the col­lege. More than 50 career train­ing pro­grams are now avail­able at Shore­line Com­mu­nity College.

Shore­line Com­mu­nity Col­lege is accred­ited by the North­west Com­mis­sion on Col­leges and Universities.

Under­grad­u­ate Program

  • AAAS Degree in Pur­chas­ing and Sup­ply Chain Man­age­ment: Asso­ciate in Applied Arts and Sci­ences Degree in Pur­chas­ing and Sup­ply Chain Man­age­ment pro­gram is a unique and highly regarded pro­gram designed both for those enter­ing the field and pro­fes­sion­als seek­ing to upgrade their skills. The cur­ricu­lum focuses on many aspects of pur­chas­ing includ­ing source selec­tion, pric­ing the­ory, qual­ity and qual­ity assur­ance, logis­tics, sup­ply chain man­age­ment, spec­i­fi­ca­tions and stan­dard­iza­tion, pur­chase tim­ing, value engi­neer­ing, make-​or-​buy con­cepts and cap­i­tal purchasing.
