Founded in 1940, and a leader in tech­ni­cal career edu­ca­tion in South­east­ern New Eng­land, New Eng­land Tech is a pri­vate, non-​profit tech­ni­cal col­lege offer­ing Associate’s and Bachelor’s Degrees in over 30 pro­grams which has been thought­fully designed with input from both edu­ca­tors and indus­try experts.

The focus at New Eng­land Tech is to give each stu­dent a solid bal­ance: a base of ana­lyt­i­cal skills with hands-​on train­ing. Most of our Associate’s Degree pro­grams can be com­pleted in as lit­tle as 18 months and our Bachelor’s Degree pro­grams in as lit­tle as 3 years. Today, enroll­ment has grown to 3,000 students.

Academic Programs

Under­grad­u­ate Program

  • AS Degree in Marine Tech­nol­ogy: The Associate’s Degree in Marine Tech­nol­ogy Pro­gram offers the­ory and prac­ti­cal train­ing in marine mechan­ics, marine busi­ness con­cepts, marine elec­tric­ity and marine sys­tems instal­la­tion, repair and ser­vice. Hands-​on prac­ti­cal skills in instal­la­tion, ser­vice, and repairs to mechan­i­cal, elec­tri­cal, elec­tronic, and hydraulic sys­tems uti­lized by both recre­ational and com­mer­cial ves­sels are stressed through­out the cur­ricu­lum. In addi­tion, marine busi­ness pro­ce­dures are taught using com­put­er­ized learn­ing meth­ods with marine spe­cific soft­ware. Fac­ulty mem­bers in Marine Tech­nol­ogy are factory-​certified by ABYC, Volvo and Mer­cury Marine. The Marine Tech­nol­ogy Depart­ment is the New Eng­land train­ing site for Volvo Penta Marine with advanced train­ing avail­able for qual­i­fied stu­dents. Stu­dents com­plet­ing the Marine Tech­nol­ogy pro­gram may also qual­ify to become cer­ti­fied Volvo Penta Technicians. your social media marketing partner
