Charles Darwin University (CDU) is a dual-sector Australian public university with more than 18,000 students studying at varying levels and located in Darwin, which is a multicultural, cosmopolitan, and robust, tropical city in Western Australia. The university offers a wide range of education and training opportunities in Higher Education and Vocational Education and Training with flexible study options, including part-time, external and online.

CDU is one of seven members of Australia's Innovative Research Universities network, which involves members directing knowledge, capabilities and resources to enhance the outcomes of higher education. CDU sits alongside Flinders, Griffith, James Cook, La Trobe, Murdoch and Newcastle universities in the network.

Students have the option of being able to study at campuses in Darwin, Palmerston, Alice Springs and Katherine. Charles Darwin University was created in 2004 from the merger of Northern Territory University at Darwin and Centralian College. The University is named after Charles Darwin, the celebrated English scientist and also the main city it dwells.

  • Certificate II in Transport and Logistics (Warehousing and Storage): This qualification is designed to give people the capacity to work in the warehousing industry. It provides graduates with an introductory level of knowledge and technical skills in manual handling, team working, occupational health and safety, vehicle inspection, loading and unloading goods and stocktaking, customer service, product knowledge and handling skills.
  • Certificate II in Transport and Logistics (Logistics Operations): This course is for people who want to learn how to receive and dispatch goods, and pick and pack orders. You will also learn how to participate in stock-takes and handle dangerous goods. You will also develop skills in using the computer, customer service, and quality procedures.
  • Certificate III in Transport and Logistics (Warehousing and Storage): This qualification is for people who want to learn how to coordinate goods for distribution to customers. Students will also learn how to use inventory systems to conduct stock counts and apply product knowledge to organize the receivables and dispatches.
  • Certificate III in Transport and Logistics (Logistics Operations): This qualification is for people who want to learn how to coordinate goods for distribution to customers. Students will also learn how to use inventory systems to conduct stock counts and apply product knowledge to organize receivables and dispatches.
  • Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics (Warehousing and Storage): This certificate provides graduates with an introductory level of knowledge and technical skills in manual handling, team working, occupational health and safety, driving/MME load shifting vehicles, vehicle inspection, loading and unloading goods and stocktaking and inventory control, and customer service, product knowledge and handling skills.
  • Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics (Logistics): At Charles Darwin University this qualification is an Assessment Only Course (RPL and or Advanced Standing). It recognizes student current acquired skill sets and Industry knowledge and is mapped against the TLI Training Package Competency Performance Standards, the qualification is generally required to advance in or gain recognition of involvement in integrated logistics management in the road transport, warehousing, distribution, storage industries, which may include other specific Logistics and Supply Chain specialty Industries.
  • Diploma of Logistics: At Charles Darwin University this is an Assessment Only qualification (RPL and or Advanced Standing). The qualification recognizes student current acquired skill sets and Industry knowledge and is mapped against the TLI Training Package TLI 50107 Diploma of Logistics Competency Performance Standards. The qualification is generally required to advance in or gain recognition of involvement in integrated logistics management in the road transport, warehousing, distribution, storage industries, which may include other specific Logistics and Supply Chain specialty Industries.
