Supply Chain and Purchasing Management Education in Italy
MIP was born out of the partnership between the Politecnico di Milano, the first technology University in Italy, and some of the most important Italian and international multinationals. Founded in 2003, the School of Management covers numerous areas of research, education and high level consultancy in the fields of economics, management and industrial engineering, which Politecnico di Milano undertakes through its own structures and those of the consortium to which it belongs.
The School of Management is composed of the DIG - Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering and the Business School, MIP. Overall, there are over 200 professors, lecturers, researchers, tutors and staff members and every year over 600 new students enroll in the undergraduate program. In 2009, the School was included for the first time in the Financial Times’ ratings of top European Business Schools and in 2010 was confirmed as the only Italian business school listed in the rankings for three Master degrees: Executive MBA, Full time MBA and Master of Science in Management Engineering.
