Sup­ply Chain Man­age­ment Edu­ca­tion with Co-​Op at MacE­wan School of Business


Founded in 1971, Grant Mace­wan Uni­ver­sity has a long tra­di­tion of learner access and qual­ity edu­ca­tion. As a com­pre­hen­sive uni­ver­sity, MacE­wan offers more than 60 pro­grams includ­ing under­grad­u­ate degrees, applied degrees, diplo­mas, cer­tifi­cates, con­tin­u­ing edu­ca­tion and cor­po­rate training.

In less than 40 years, MacE­wan has evolved and grown to become a degree-​granting uni­ver­sity offer­ing a broad com­ple­ment of pro­grams. Our name may have changed, but the learn­ing and com­mit­ment con­tin­ues. In the 2010/​11 Cana­dian Uni­ver­sity Report released by the Globe and Mail, our stu­dents gave MacE­wan an “A” for the qual­ity of edu­ca­tion, lev­els of student/​faculty inter­ac­tion, qual­ity of teach­ing, class sizes and cam­pus atmosphere.

MacE­wan School of Busi­ness is a rec­og­nized leader in under­grad­u­ate inter­na­tional busi­ness edu­ca­tion, known for stu­dent suc­cess, schol­ar­ship, inno­va­tion and excel­lence in teach­ing. The School of Busi­ness hosts two research cen­tres: the Insti­tute for Inno­va­tion in Man­age­ment Edu­ca­tion (IIME) and the Insti­tute of Asia Pacific Stud­ies (IAPS).

Under­grad­u­ate Program

  • BCom with Sup­ply Chain Man­age­ment and Coop: MacEwan’s four-​year Bach­e­lor of Com­merce degree opens these doors to the exec­u­tive level of busi­ness. The sup­ply chain man­age­ment major focuses on devel­op­ing part­ner­ships and rela­tion­ships with other busi­nesses, and ensur­ing that the final prod­uct is deliv­ered to the right place, at the right time, for the right price. Com­bine this with an eight-​month paid practicum, and you’re well on your way to a reward­ing career in this dynamic field. The objec­tive of the Sup­ply Chain Man­age­ment practicum (Coop) is to pro­vide stu­dents with a real-​life busi­ness envi­ron­ment where they can acquire and develop prac­ti­cal indus­try skills and apply their aca­d­e­mic knowledge.
